OCD Carpentry, short for “Obsessive Compulsive Designs & Carpentry”, was founded by James Henderson in 2012. OCD Carpentry designs and creates custom woodworking solutions that encompass innovation and excellence. We pride ourselves on creating timeless designs, individually crafted to fit a client’s specific needs. Our extensive design experience effortlessly transforms ideas and visions into functional manifestations of quality carpentry.
OCD Carpentry is comprised of two parts: a design studio and a fabrication shop. We have the talent to imagine one-of-a-kind design solutions and the skills to execute those solutions in the field. Each project is handled with great attention to detail and a distinct focus on the individual processes involved. Longevity and craftsmanship are prioritized as we transform your home into a work of art.
Our process

This consists of an in-person, and typically on-site walkthrough. The structure is very much a give and take, in order to ensure that the expectations of mechanical use and aesthetic requirements are captured in the initial design phase. Field dimensions will be taken by our company, as well as any other notable field conditions that may need to be overcome when considering the installation of the work.

Also known as the “mock up” or “modeling” phase. In this phase all of the previous information gathered will be incorporated into clear geometric examples. The method that will be used to convey the information will vary based on the nature of the job itself. The methods employed are typically hand sketching, 3d modeling, and physical mockups.

In this phase, you and our company will have a clear understanding of what it is exactly that needs to be built. In this phase, pricing and proposed scheduling will be submitted to you in a contractual form. Following the contract, fabrication, and installation will begin.
